Victor's May Websearch
Hello Again. I have found some more interesting things to make you think. How about a 100 Tetrahertz atomic precision silicon switch,.or growing plants in the dark (you will have to be carefull of the kind of people you tell that to). And for the pyramid lovers, new tunnels discovered! Happy reading. Victor.
Growing Plants in the
Dark
by T. Galen Hieronymus
Radiations from each of the known elements of
matter produce some form of energy, probably electrons which can
be made to flow along electrical conductors. The flow from each
of the elements having characteristics different from the others.
Conversely, the flow of electrons along a conductor produces a
radiation having characteristics of the radiation from each
respective element.
Such of the known elements as are required to feed growing plants
have been transmitted to the plants through metallic conductors
as the plants were entirely isolated from the elements upon which
they were fed. More precisely, seeds were planted in boxes in a
darkened basement room. One of the boxes of plants containing
some of the seeds was used as a control and no apparatus for
transmitting element radiations thereto provided. The remaining
boxes of plants had electrodes or plates of conducting material
mounted or otherwise disposed adjacent thereto, and each box of
plants was separately attached to a conductor extending to a
point outside the building where electrodes or plates were
attached to the conductors and allowed to remain exposed to the
light.
Such of the known elements as required to impart normal
characteristics to the plants were apparently fed thereto by
having the radiations of the elements from the light conducted to
the plants through the wires and associated electrodes. The
treated plants were relatively healthy but the control plant
assumed the characteristics of growing vegetation which has been
deprived of the elements in natural light. Particularly was the
control plant devoid of chlorophyll while the remaining plants
were green.
Egyptologists Find New
Tunnels And Chambers
In Meidum Pyramid
By Robert Locke
http://foxnews.com/science/egypt/egypt_meidum.sml
4-12-00
The pyramid of Meidum, one of Egypt's earliest pyramids, is a
complicated structure, even by ancient Egyptian standards. Built
about 2600 B.C., its designers apparently couldn't make up their
minds on what it should look like.
And now French and Egyptian archaeologists, armed with a fiber-optic
endoscope like those doctors use to peer inside the human body,
have discovered two previously unknown chambers and a tunnel that
stretches nearly 40 meters (131 feet) into the heart of the
enigmatic pyramid.
The structure began as a step pyramid, with stair-step sides like
a giant wedding cake, in the style of the famous "first
pyramid" built at Saqqara for Pharaoh Djoser. Then the steps
were expanded by adding another layer. Finally, its steps were
encased in a smooth shell to create one of the first true
pyramids. Ninety kilometers (56 miles) south of Cairo, it rose
nearly 100 meters (330 feet). It likely was unstable from the
beginning and seems never to have been used as a tomb.
A tunnel shaft leads from the outside of the mostly collapsed
pyramid to the burial chamber deep inside. But, Gaballah Ali
Gaballah told the Eighth International Congress of Egyptologists
in Cairo Thursday (March 30), two recesses near the bottom of the
shaft have confused archaeologists. Gaballah is head of Egypt's
Supreme Council of Antiquities.
Each recess is about 1.7 meters (5.7 feet) high and 2.1 meters (6.9
feet) across. An unreinforced span of that size should be too
great to support the enormous weight of the stone blocks above it.
But the Franco-Egyptian team thinks it has solved the mystery.
Examining the masonry along the top of the shaft revealed what
looked like a carefully concealed window. In May 1998, the
researchers slipped an endoscope " a device like a long,
flexible telescope about the diameter of a human finger "
through a joint between building blocks. What they saw through
the scope was another tunnel directly above the first. And this
one had a "corbelled" roof " a top built of
overlapping blocks that rise progressively to a point. Such a
roof would distribute the overlying weight and relieve pressure
on the open corridor below it. The new shaft does not open on the
outside of the pyramid, but it does head down toward the two
troublesome recesses.
Last year, the team used the endoscope to explore beyond the end
of the tunnel and above the recesses. What they found were two
identical corbelled chambers, one above each recess and the same
width. This rather clever, weight-distributing construction
likely explains how the flat-roofed recesses were made possible.
Gaballah notes that the exact purpose of the complex recesses,
chambers, and twin shafts is not clear: "The work is still
in progress and we don't know what to expect."
In addition to Gaballah, the team included Mustafa El-Zeiri of
Egypt and Gilles Dormion and Jean-Yves Verd'hurt of France.
100 Tetrahertz Atomic
Precision Silicon Crystal
Switches Produced
By R. Colin Johnson - EE Times http://www.eetimes.com/story/OEG20000410S0057
4-16-00
URBANA CHAMPAIGN Ill. - Researchers at the University of
Illinois have developed a method of prepping single-crystal
silicon wafers for organic molecules, which produce molecular
switches with atomic precision.
Wafers from existing silicon manufacturing facilities could be
used to achieve switching arrays running at 100 terahertz, the
researchers said. By attaching arrays of spinning organic
molecules to the surface of a standard silicon wafer, the group
demonstrated, in principle, how to fabricate molecule memories
running at THz speeds.
The organic molecules are only attached where a single hydrogen
atom was removed, so they spin " some as fast as a 100
trillion times a second," said Joseph Lyding, a UI professor
of electrical and computer engineering and a researcher at the
University of Illinois Beckman Institute for Advanced Science and
Technology. "We're working with chemists now who are
designing molecules that when attached will act like transistors
that can switch at 100 trillion times a second," said Lyding.
Lyding's group removed individual atoms of hydrogen from finished
wafers of single crystal silicon, creating "holes" on
the silicon surface. The holes create a gradient that attracts
any free molecules that happen to float by. By exposing the
prepped silicon only to convenient organic molecules, the surface
can be automatically populated with arrays of identically
spinning memory elements, each emulating a transistor that
switches each time it spins.
If this technology takes hold, we will be returning to the
mechanical memories of yesteryear " because we are really
just building a mechanical relay, but on a nanotechnology scale.
It will be read and written to electrically, but the active
element is just a very very small mechanical device," said
Lyding.
The researchers' first step was to remove the heavy oxidation
that's ordinarily applied to a silicon wafer, thus exposing a
perfect silicon surface. Then in very high vacuum, Lyding and
fellow researchers Mark Hersam and Nathan Guisinger passivated
the pure silicon surface with hydrogen " forming a single-atom-thick
layer of hydrogen strongly bonded to the silicon.
The next step involved using a scanning tunneling microscope to
dislodge individual hydrogen atoms to attach the spinning organic
molecules. The resulting surface was smooth like pure silicon,
except for holes where the individual hydrogen atoms had been
removed. In terms of gradients, these holes lure molecules toward
their "dangling" bonds, spontaneously self-assembling
organic molecules, injected in gas phase, into atomically precise
arrays.
Atomic precision in punching out single-atom-size holes in the
hydrogen surface was accomplished by a feedback loop from the
microscope that controlled the tunneling current. When the single
atomic bond was broken from the selected hydrogen atom, the
feedback signal instantly cut off the tunneling current to
prevent further disturbance to the surface. The microscope can
also be programmed to move to the next atom when a bond is broken,
so that lines of hydrogen atoms can be removed from the silicon
surface.
We are doing things now like writing two non-parallel lines that
get closer and closer together " in that way we can gauge
just how close we can get lines and still have them remain
discrete," said Lyding.
In the end, the researchers impress "templates" atop
the silicon surface by scanning the tunneling microscope in
chosen patterns. Eventually, they will create arrays of memory or
switching elements. But for now the group is trying to perfect
procedures. So far, they have tried attaching three organic
molecules: norbornadiene, copper phthalocyanine and carbon-60
"buckyballs."
The advantage of organic molecules is that their ends can be
functionalized so that they easily interface with either
electronic or nanoscale mechanical devices," said Lyding.
The group cautions that it has more work to do to validate its
approach before a practical circuit design method can be
announced.
Kens simple circuits
A few days ago an ASTRO member rang me, asking for a simple power supply circuit that could supply about 45 volts at fairly low current. As most of the electronics stores now sell a.c. output plug pack type adaptors, it is possible to make a simple supply without the danger of any mains wiring. Dick Smith sells a 9.3 volt (M9653), a 12 volt (M9655), a 16 volt (M9667),and a 24 volt (M9635), other voltages are also availiable (Jaycar have a good range).
A slow blow (T) fuse between the plug pack and the voltage doubler will prevent destruction of the plug pack in the event of component failure or human error. If you let the smoke out of plug packs they stop working!
CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION: On the positive half cycle D1 conducts charging C1 to the peak voltage of the sine wave, on the negative going half of the cycle D2 conducts charging C2 to the peak voltage, as both capacitors are in series the output voltage is twice root two of the rms input voltage.
OUTPUT VOLTAGE (d.c.)= INPUT VOLTAGE (rms) X 2.828
9.3 a.c.
in gives 26 volts out 10 a.c. in gives 28 volts out 12 a.c. in gives 34 volts out 16 a.c. in gives 45 volts out 24 a.c. in gives 68 volts out |
Please note; it is current that kills be careful!

The
Secret Super High Mileage Report
Chapter 7
Other inventors
I have a new link on the information on Paul Pantone and his
GEET company that I am a part of. They have a site at http://www.friend.ly.net/GEET
and more coming. They have shipped generators and have preheater
units for both gas and diesel. ready to be shipped. The main GEET
unit is still being worked out and is showing promising that a
unit will be available soon. he to is not getting the help he
needs.
Since placing my information on the internet I have learned that
there are even more inventions on fuel efficiency out there. I
have talked to other inventors that were so afraid one admittedly
used an alias for mail and another, who had a story done on him
and his idea in a major magazine 20 years ago, didnt want me to
mention his name in my information, he was developing a system
and wanted no more of the hassles he received when he went public
before. He told me he had been chased by people with guns trying
to get him alone, and ended up moving underground through a
church and out of the country for a few years. He said he would
send me some new information he was working on, but I never
received it. There are many other inventors who are not quite so
shy, but still have come in the back door to get their inventions
out.
One such inventor, Paul Pantone describes his idea as a new type
of carburetor with a refinery built in. I found out about him
from an article in Extraordinary Research, a magazine put out by
the Tesla society (reprinted later). His system has obvious
similarities to all super carbs but has been told it works as a
self-inducing plasma generator cracking into mostly Hydrogen
producing practically no pollution. After initial phone
conversations, I sent him my book. He was so impressed , he
wanted me to come see him and his unit. I told him I could not
afford such a trip and he offered to pay my air fare for me to
visit and see his system. I was impressed with the many people
working with him to get his idea out and further develop it into
other applications. I was very impressed with the clean exhaust
running from his demonstrators. Although no load or efficiency
tests were demonstrated, I am confident he will demonstrate
further proofs on the overall improvements, because I know what
is possible. He states 2-3 times improvement and clean air. I
have seen positive results in clean exhaust analysis. I hope to
help him to finally get this idea out to the masses.
His system is beautifully simple, he increases heat and vacuum
and has a rod in the center that is said to be tuned to a
resonant frequency causing this reaction to break the molecules
down into their lowest form, hydrogen. He must be doing something
right because he can run the engine along time with no catalyst
fouling and has run on crude oil and many other fuels, even toxic
mixtures with practically no pollution.
I personally believe that thermal resonant cracking is occurring,
cracking the fuel into lighter gases such as natural gas methanol
and hydrogen. This thermal resonant cracking may be causing the
plasma reaction. The molecules bounce back and forth between the
cold rod and the hot outer pipe. the rod would remain cold
because of endothermic heat transfer. The rod diameter and length
are determined by the density of the fuel, or specific gravity
and may be the combination of water and crude to the equal
density of gasoline for similar rod sizes Also knowing pressure
and heat are related I failed to remember time. Time is relevant
because of the space traveled along the rod. Paul connected with
me when he said he built a longer tube and rod for the bigger
engine but then found the same short length would do. I went to
higher temperatures and pressures but had a longer time exposure.
Too long a time exposure and mileage could go down, not up. It is
a matter of balance and Paul seems to have it worked out nicely.
I want to support him and encourage others to help get this idea
out finally, for all our benefit.
I am including reprints of his information and story that may
assist you in understanding and helping with this idea.
To any doubters out there, please just simply go and follow the
links that have been established by other inventors and
investigators of this high mileage idea and see the overwhelming
similarities and unity in just wanting to get the idea out. The
truth is there. Help set us free by passing this information. on
to others.
Another contact I have made is Donald Novak .I mention him in my
book reports section, but apparently I had only one section of
his report "100 Miles Per Gallon Seminar," Since
talking with him he sent me his complete book and supplement. He
has far more proofs and understandings on this idea.
He explains three different systems to vaporize the fuel. He has
copies of the Pogue patent, "the Fish" with extensive
diagrams, a blower design by Rudolf R. Laesig of Westchester Pa.,
and also a French patent that refers to "a thermo-chemical
decomposition of water contained in the mixture, leading to a
particular state of matter, that is plasma, with a view toward
the production of hydrogen and its direct use as the effective
energy agent in any internal combustion engine or for heating."
Mr. Novak also has an explanation of a Plasma furnace in his
supplement . His explanation and information are fascinating in
that we can take it beyond cracking as this plasma fuel would
even be more efficient. He has been fighting the BS of the
political system and has seen many successful systems done on a
small scale but also states that he has seen others disappear
when trying to get it into mass production.
He has copies of his original publication from 1979 available and
also offers his time and insights to help get the idea out . He
says that additives should not stop the reaction and that I am
missing some things in my process that can be made simpler by
using aviation aluminum, an alloy with magnesium for the
catalytic evaporation surface. I have learned of "zeolites",
a group of crystalline alumino-silicates that are used as a
catalysts for petrol refining from some articles on the internet,
Also I was told by a metallurgist that most all steels have some
aluminum in it.. I have not tried aluminum as a catalyst but hope
to this year in conjunction with the GEET system.
Mr. Novaks book is one of the first super carb books and is
informative proof that a better system is possible. The political
machinery under corporate pressures have ignored the many
inventions that jeopardize their empires.
To purchase Mr. Novaks book at a special internet price $25.95 +
$4.00 S+H send check or money order to Don Novak Energy Research
Development, PO Box 602 Keewatin MN. 55753. His book was
published to help us all. His phone is (218) 778 6728 and will
discus these matters with anyone.
I learned of Don through the net at an energy information site by
Bob Lyons at this
link
It is an impressive site on super carb technology and other
efficient systems that have been ignored or given the run around
by the political system.

The meeting was opened on time by Roger, who extended a hearty
welcome to all and a special welcome to visitors.
Roger...started the ball rolling with a comment that the price of petrol had gone down.
Ken spoke of an article (www.sightings.com) on why the price of petrol had escalated to US $2.00 per gallon in the USA.
Roger handed around a pamphlet advertising the first Queensland meeting of ASTRO. The guest speaker was to be Brian Dempsey from South Australia.
Roger the spoke on a GST petition. Some discussion followed on the GST and experiences in New Zealand.
Roger
then declared that there was
not going to be a Guest Speaker and that the night
was reserved for discussions and demonstrations on alternative
energy or other projects. He asked if anyone had brought in any
demonstrations etc.
Roger (from the Murray) brought out and activated a gyro gizmo, which basically ran for the whole night.
Cecil
then gave us an interesting
talk on his experiences with diesel engines and water injection
experiments. He said at 690 deg F the water turns into steam with
an immediate expansion factor of 1600 times.
Uli told of a British Bulldog tractor that ran successfully on milk. The milk also lubricated the engine. ( must have been real milk, not the coloured water that we get today.)
Cecil then told of an old bloke that collected old engine oil, filtered it using a piece of rope to siphon out the carbon and then ran his tractor on it.
Andrew spoke of British racing cars using water injection 2 to 3 years ago, under the guise of cooling the pistons. This was soon stopped as it gave quite a power and fuel advantage. ( a 50 % better economy was touted)
Cecil said that Heeber water injectors were used.
Brian said that water injecting an engine cleaned it out. Percy spoke about his Peugeot 404 which he water injected. He said that the best results were obtained using 10 % water. The water had to be cold boiled ( in a vacuum situation) and admitted to the manifold.
Alan said that he knew someone in Woolongong working on water injection systems that worked well, but said that he had not yet made any money out of it
Peter commented on an article from the Australian, where the Federal government had purchased $70 millon worth of USA shares into a Tulsa based synthetic petroleum research company called Syntroleum. He said that he feared that this money would all be lost and that the government had obviously not heard of GEET. ( Http://www.geet.com) Peter said that, as with GEET, the international financiers and the petrol cartels would block its release even if the process reached the patent stage.
Andrew recounted the time when a diesel engine would not stop as it was running on vapour from hydraulics.
Alan
said that a worn out diesel
engine could be very dangerous as it can use as fuel, the
lubricating oil via worn piston rings. This could send the engine
out of control as the governor would no longer have any control.
A discussion was had on do it yourself designer fuels and the use of cheaper additives such as toluene, as in Victoria recently.
Roger the invited Victor to update us on his Water Fuel Cell group's latest happenings.
Victor said that he had been conducting a search for technical information relating to an article in Nemesis magazine about Keeley, who acoustically extracted enormous energy from water at 42.8 Khz .One drop of water reportedly blew a hole through a steel plate (or such like). Vic drew the diagram of the Keely unit on the whiteboard, and then drew another contraversial circuit that is supposedly able to bring about time effects. This then lead into a little diversionary discussion onto the subject of Remote Viewing.
Ken Had made up ten or so computer disks on all of the Astro Pages to date, that are on the Astro Webb page. They can be purchased for 50 cents each.
Roger discussed an advert on the back page of a Renew magazine which offered 100 watt 12 volt photo voltaic cells for $330.00 @ (pre GST) There were qualifying requirements to get them at this price, as they were subsidised by the Federal government's domestic solar power scheme, with all of the stipulations, requirements, monitoring and hook up to the power system etc.
Editor's note this shows the absolutely crazy muddled thinking of the Federal Government on energy matters. Why don't they promote and subsidise the use of solar water heaters. They would offer a far greater saving on energy than the piddling output as against expenditure from solar voltaic cells.
Cedric produced his golf ball gravity wheel as a project demonstration it was elevating.
Robert briefly discussed a damning article from Nexus Magazine on soy products, which brought forth a bit of discussion. He then discussed another Nexus article on liquid magnetic material ( fluid magnetics) and a seemingly perpetual motion device using this magnetic fluid and floating balls.
George said that he had tried a similar floating balls experiment twenty years ago, but it did not work, as he did not then have an adequate means of sealing the bottom of the fluid tube where the balls were to enter into the fluid. The magnetic fluid had achieved this seal.
Ken commented that his family no longer had any soy products in their household. Peter pointed out an article on Genetic Modifications, where New Zealand scientists were proposing to modify cow's milk to be similar to that of human mother's milk. Someone then commented that they would probably end up with juvenile delinquent calves.
Cedric read out an early 1800 definition of perpetual motion, saying that the meaning of the words had changed since then. There were three classes of perpetual motion. 1/ The creation of energy. 2/ The reversal of entropy. 3/ The reversal of friction. He implied that the emotional reactions and poor understanding of the real concepts and mechanisms of perpetual motion by today's scientific regimes were misguided and ignorant.
Peter produced a set of large production plans on how to construct the Howard Johnson magnet motor, as well as a booklet on the history and a full copy of the patent. It was passed around and discussed.
Roger ( from the Murray) and Uli both said that no one, other than Johnson, had been able to get one of these magnet motors to work, and that Johnson had to be actually holding onto his motor to get it to function. This was apparently discussed in a tape that is in our audio library, by Les Adams.
Percy produced a demo unit on eddy currents. It was a stainless steel half loop that had a short piece of aluminium tubing that shot from one side to the other, continuously. ( this was very well made )
Geof asked Uli what was happening with his GEET project. Uli said that he would not yet elaborate, but he would discuss it at the next Astro meeting .
Roger suggested that we should spend some of our accumulated funds.
Ken ... suggested buying a digital video camera so that pictures from our meetings can be used on our Webb page and in our news letter (Ken is going to look into camera prices).
Ken put forward the suggestion that we run an annual competition with a prize for the best invention. This was put to the vote. There was an overwhelming YES vote. It was agreed (on Percy's suggestion) that one had to be a paid up member to compete.
Roger said that one of the original compares of the ABC show "The Inventors" was going to reintroduce a similar type of show to be called ( I think ) the ABC Science Show TRITON. The show proposed to help with patents and marketing, with viewer call back, on the spot market research results. This is a necessary and usually expensive time consuming feasibility exercise that is usually required by financial backers before they loosen the purse strings.
Percy told how he had found a 1923 Popular Mechanics magazine with a picture of a rotary clothes- line very similar in appearance to the older style Hill's Hoist. Roger asked if anyone had an idea for a Guest Speaker. He said that he needed help.
Geof said that if we could not find guest speakers then we could have more open nights like tonight. They are popular and ( as Ken pointed out ) tend to draw out ideas and offer help and suggestions to others working on similar things which, after all is one of the original purposes of Astro. This was more in line with the early Astro meetings.
Lionel and Bob showed a Joe Cell and discussed different aspects of it's construction, particularly the insulators separating the stainless steel tubes.
Percy similarly produced his mini version Joe Cell and said that it should work as well as the larger versions.
Roger (from the Murray) brought in his extremely well made working model of an Adams Motor and had it wizzing around on the back table.
Refreshments and supper followed a thoroughly enjoyable evening. The next meeting is on Friday May 12th at 8 pm.
Bye for now,
Peter Patterson
